Have you ever felt that you have made a mistake which could be turned back on? A mistake which you made in order to pursue to do something you always dreamt of? Well, some would not term it as a mistake, but more of a decision. So let's just say a wrong decision.

A wrong decision? I honestly do not know if it is. What if you are really unhappy with the decision you have made and you are unable to undo it? Are you going to regret it for the rest of your life or make-do with it? What if you are unable to make-do with it due to the situation and environment you are in? Run away? Run away to where? What other options are there? Will running away solve the problem or indulge yourself into a more massive mistake?

Trying to adapt to the current situation is a different matter all together. The situation and enviroment has to have a small gap in order for you to fit in. If you are to squeeze your way through, a wall might exist, and it can be a dead end. Then again, there might not be a wall. It's all about risk, planned risk I would say. Creation of a probablity chart is important. Looking at the factors is very much indeed important. Then again, what if the probability chart is wrong?

These are the questions I ask myself but again, I'm not sure what the solution is. I guess the only way is to ask, trust and listen to the person most closest to you

There are so many movies that I just want to watch but don't have the time. Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Transformers, and Die Hard 4. Well, according to the reviews of Fantastic 4, it seems to be for kids! Well, I don't really care if it's for kids as I watch cartoons as well :)

Die Hard 4 should seem nice since the previous parts were not bad. Im not expecting much from Transformers, other than the nice effects! I shall state a review here once I watch it...

C is sharp

I'm currently trying to pick up C#, which is supposed to be a more object-oriented approach compared the legendary C as its based more on Java.

One thing which struck me is, why is there so many kinds of programming languages? Why doesn't some international body come up with a rule that only one programming language should be used? Isn't it much simpler that way instead of each person learning a new language each time they want to program something!

Well, some might argue that one language is different from another in terms of flexibility but what the heck, why dont we come up with a new language which incorporates all these functionalities? We can keep the language named as "C" which stands for COMBINED!

I haven't blogged for almost a year now. Not that I didn't have the time, I just got bored and was busy with work.

There was actually this article I came across on the New Straits Times which actually fascinated me. Not that this type of story is uncommon, it's just that there are people who still beleive in it. "Villagers alarmed by burial of ‘aliens’" is says.

It is still un-certain of what was found in the grave but most probably it's something else which was buried.

APIIT .Net Workshop 2004

Today is the last day of the APIIT .Net Workshop 2004 series. Previously there was one in KL and today was in Technology Park. I'm satisfied with my presentation today, as the attendees understood, and they had smiling faces instead of frowns when i ended.

Met two new people today, Derek and Vico - Student Ambassadors from UTAR. Friendly dudes indeed.

Wen Ching was there too. I wanted to attend his session, was kind of interesting but he was presenting at the Advanced side and I was presenting at the Beginner's side. Oh well, a fun day indeed... Whats the next event? Hmmmm.......

DSA Status Complete

I have finally completed my DSA Assignment, whats left now is my AI Project. I also have to divide time for my work, my boss needs the stuff by Thurdsay, which is - tommorow! On Saturday I have a .Net Workshop Presentation at APIIT TPM, need to prepare new stuff as I want to present on something different. Stress, stress, stress and so little time. Minus the times I eat, sleep and in the toilet i barely have enough time to finish all this...

Oh well...Have faith in God and Mecha!

Production Rules

This is one difficult thing to do, and I don't know how and in which way I was related to this part and I have to create Production Rules for an Elevator Simulator for my Artificial Intelligence assignment. These rules are just statements which will lead to reasoning and stuff which...Ok im confused...At least I did finish it.

I just completed my Web Database Interactivity Project Presentation today. Wasn't that bad at all, for my part at least but the lecturer did comment on the CSS part. The mobile part didn't work for some reason, but I think the lecturer knows it's something to do with the emulator.

I'm on full throttle to complete my Data Structres and Algorithms assignment by tomorrow...

Sunday Morning!

Just another boring Sunday morning. My brain is currently in a confused mode. Im not sure of what to do? Assignments, watch TV, listen to music or just surf my favourite gadget sites.

There was this issue previously where my notebook battery was giving me problems as in the sense that it can only last for 20 minutes! I was just about to get a new battery, and it's not very cheap! Yesterday, while going through stuff, i came across this utility which comes with Compaq notebooks. Battery Optimizer is the name, so i decided to give it a try. I have used it before, sometime about last year but didnt give much of a result. So i thought what the heck, let's "optimize". The duration was 4 hours and after the optimization i got this message "Battery Gauge Corrected by 128.0%". And guess what, my battery is back to normal! Back to the old duration, 1 hour plus! I found this utility very cool and my next task is to find out how works.

I wanna finish my assignment fast and then relax. Tests are coming up soon as well...

I'm finally left with two assignments to go. Just finished my presentation for my Artificial Intelligence Research paper. Research about what? Fuzzy Logic! Very very cool topic but requires lots and lots or reading. I was kind of nervous about the presentation but it wasnt too bad after all.

Im left with my Artificial Intelligence project as well as the Data Structues and Algorithms assignment. It isnt too difficult but as usual, time consuming. Today is the last day of Tech-Ed!!! I wish i was there :'(

When will it ever end? Two more Assignments to submit, then I need to study for exams. Tech-Ed is going on. Kind of upset im not able to attend due to lots of stuff to be completed within this week. Just submitted my Professional Development Research paper today. Seriously, they say the subject is to create "budding-professionals" but dont see it happenning anywhere amongst the students.

My buddy Aaron is having a bad day today i guess. His website is down, and if that's down, he can access anything at all! e.g email. Today morning when i logged into a forum, i realized that my avatar logo, the Bluetooth logo was missing. Aaron helps me host the avatar, so when it wasnt displaying i knew something was wrong and I ASSUMED he knew about it. Jeez...

Later he asked me about can i access his website and only then i knew that he found out about it. The DNS causing havoc over there. Let's just hope everything goes fine by tommorow and his site back up and kickin' again!

My stress level has finally decreased, after submitting my WDI project, i feel much much less tensed. Managed to include the encryption in the system. Hope it would impress the lecturer...

Today was also the .net Workshop at APIIT KL. I totally scrwed up! I feel like crap! Ok... what happened... My presentation was about ASP.NET Mobile Web Controls with an XML Web Service.I supposed to create this web service, the call it in this client application. I don't know what i was thinking about and wrongly named the web service. The name isnt the same as the step by step guide handed to the attendees. I thought i can quickly delete that service and then create a new service with the correct name. Ok that worked. My presentation got delayed by 10 minutes! Managed to preview the application in this Openwave Emulator. I still feel bad.

I will definately try to do better at the APIIT TPM workshop on the 25th. I think i will change my title to a smart devices application demo....hmmm....

Jeez, i didnt blog for a few days and now i forgot what am I to write. Oh well, lets see what happened? Well i changed my website address to:

http://www.atkinsrisha.cjb.net, i thought it sounds cool with my name in it :p And my college projects, whoa! Lot of work involved. Well, the first issues i faced was that funny CDONTS.dll issue. It's not in my system, and when i want to send mail from my ASP web application i get funny errors. Oh well, i just google-ed for the dll file, downloaded it and it works fine now.

Next what i supposed to do is this template driven thingy, where the administrator and user logs in from the same page but get different views once logged in. Ok that's done. Now the personalization part. Very tedious indeed. Skinning with CSS and JavaScript where necesarry. Well, working on it.

I need to complete all these stuff by tommorow or else I'll be delayed!

Well i decided to do an experiment. Whats the use of a bluetooth pocket pc, handphone, and USB dongle when i dont put them to use? I connected my ipaq to my notebook via ActiveSync on Bluetooth. Ok thats done. Now i want to try to transfer a file from my N-Gage to my ipaq via Bluetooth as well. Ok, they say the range of Bluetooth is 10 meters? Lets try it. I live in a condo so the space isnt very big.

I placed the notebook in my room, while the ActiveSync is stil on. Now i placed my handphone in the other room while it is still sending the file via Bluetooth. Now i went to the hall, sat with my ipaq and started writing down some stuff. The magic is, the file got sent from my phone and at the same time ActiveSync completed successfully - all within the range of 10 meters!

Ouch* I feel a metallic blue coloured tooth coming out from the back of my jaw... I

I got finally got myself an Ipaq 2210. Looks very cool indeed. Love the build quality. Definately worth it for the price! How much? Alright the retail price is RM1588 and thats the price i bought it for. The steal is, i got a Krussel case and an extra battery for free! Now thats something to be happy about. Currently watch it charge with some amber lights blinking. Can't wait to play with it tommorow.

But the fun thing is, it has Bluetooth - need to do some gigi biru experiments tommorow - hahaha. Arggghh i have and AI test tommorow, well i did study, but still...

I got this bluetooth adapter for my notebook and then synchronized it with my N-Gage and it's so fun! I can install stuff, back-up my device and the best part is, the range is 20 meters so i can walk around anywhere and the connection is not lost. I got this hub as well, a 4 port one, so now the bluetooth adapter is sitting there without me having to un-plug it when i want to stick my thumb drive in. Also got this Dicota Notebook sleeve so now i dont have to carry my notebook bag, just slip the notebook in and walk around with it. I want a Bluetooth Headset now...!

Palm OS? WM 2003?

Okay im confused. i want a new PDA, after selling off my old one - a Mitac Mio 338. But i cant decide! Palm OS has this very classy professional look - but i have NEVER used Palm OS before. Windows Mobile pocket pc's have the same look, a very similar look but im very much familiar with it. So how now? I was thinking of trying out something different - what i mean is Palm OS.

Yay i won the spiderman contest - the one where u have to state why i wanna be spiderman! One cap, one more i forgot and one window cling thingy, where it is too big to post by mail and i have to self-collect. Well, i have to find the way there then.

Oh well, really expected more from Bill Gates speech, but hmm, nothing great i would say. Normal presentation but LOTS of security. Locking of doors, limited photograpy from the press. But overall it was nice, attended Tracks 3,4,5. One on security, one on productivity, and one on Intergration. The one on security suited be best i would say, something on wiritng secure codes which includes validation,etc. The producivity was basically previewing Visual Studio 2005, not bad at all - seems that programming is getting easier. The last on on Service Oriented Architecture wasnt very technical but required more listening. Well,it did benefit me and i feel it was worth it going there. Should attend more of these kind of stuff...

This is so exciting! Luckily i registered for this event early as seats are limited! Next tuesday i'll be at Putrajaya Convention Centre for this event. Whats so interesting? Bill Gates is coming! Wohooo! College? I got an exemption letter from college to go on that day. Cool. :) Oh well, I have to collect my tag on Saturday to avoid the queue on Tuesday. This fun. So fun! I've finally completed Hitman 3 for i see umm... 2 days? Okay im a professional, hire me! Only 12 Levels for Hitman 3? There were more in Hitman 2! So not fun! Wat to do for the holidays now? Burp* and sit i suppose... Must go buy a new game now... Wat to buy!!!

I've only bought the game one day and i've reached level 3! Thats some acheivement for me... Started swimming again, gotta loose those flabs, ahhhh! Mouse is "cun" again...yay!I want to buy that bluetooth adapter! I dont care! But now when i have cash, i dont see any good deal around! Why is it always like this? Better open up that eyes and start looking...!

Bought new batteries for my mouse, it works fine... Also bought Hitman 3 pc game - i need something to keep me company during the holidays... Oh well, hope Hitman 3 is as fun as Hitman 2... Just now when i restarted my N-Gage, i dont know why i go a message saying "error in software.please contact retailer"... It was the most scariest experience!...tried restarting it and it worked well again..phew!

Wohoooooooo! Holiday's finally! Rest rest rest...But i am 100% sure that i will be Freakin bored for the rest of the holidays and i have nothing installed to do! How lame can this be? I wait for the holidays and now nothing to do... ehm! Oh well, doing some house work might help kill time...

Exams are finnaly over...phew! What a releif! Finally have sometime to myself..hmmm what shall i do for the holidays? Sleep, watch tv, surf and surf and surf? We'll see when the time comes..Now this blog has got me addicted to it... Oh well, kinda of an interesting thing to be addicted to...Hunger calling, better end this here :D...Yay! Exams over!!!

Day 2 - No Difference

Yay! Day two of this "blogging" activity. Got up at 9, didnt go to college, stayed at home and studied, but it's sooo boring! Managed to complete the whole sylabbus what still not sure of what is left... After tommorow i'll be freeee..Better decide soon on what to do for the holidays...Should just get the bluetooth adapter and watch how my N-Gage synchronizes with the notebook... We shall see what happens after i buy it...This ******* mouse if pissing me off!!! Changed the batteries last month and so fast gone? Irritating disadvantage of a wireless mouse...

My First Post

My very first post after creating this blog. Never actually had the habit of "blogging" but oh well, lets try it out. The template suggested wasnt too bad, colour scheme looked intersting. Just two more days to the last exam, then im free! Looking forward to the break to freshen up for the next semester... Studied at college, managed to memorize stuff...not bad :)...Got to start back studying, techically, not much time left!
